The English and their weather...

Our international students often ask me why English people always talk about the weather, and today would be a perfect example of why...

It is the middle of June, supposedly the height of summer, and it has rained every day since the Summer School started.

Today our students were meant to be outside playing sport, but sadly the rain has meant we have had to change our plans. It may be wet outside but this has not dampened our spirits, we set up the Nintendo Wii for a Wii Sports session, and have a dance room going on. All the students seem to be entering in to the spirit of our slightly impromptu, but none the less entertaining, sports session!

The plan for the rest of the week... Yes that's right, more rain!

According to the trusty BBC, it should be nice for the trips to Bristol and Bath tomorrow afternoon.

These two vibrant cities always provide a fun day trip, as well as a great insight to British culture for our students. Bath the more traditional, while Bristol is a thriving cosmopolitan city. Both offer interesting architecture, tourist landmarks and museums, as well as plenty of shopping opportunities of course!

Then, Friday is a trip to go swimming or ice skating in Swindon.

A busy week ahead for our students, and of course you will be updated with all of the news and photos right here!
